Understanding Deliverance

 Many people genuinely have the lack of knowledge and understanding of what deliverance truly is. Many people feel that their desires or emotions change to the complete opposite of what they feel and with that, deliverance has taken place. 

Deliverance is going from one place to a better place. When we take a look at the Bible and how the Israelites were delivered from Egypt, the goal was for them to leave a place physically (where they were devalued, misused, mistreated, harmed and made low) to enter into an another place physically (where they will have value, wealth, safety and comfort). Their journey of transition was supposed to be 11 days yet it took them 40 years to reach their destination. 

The scripture below is based on the Israelites journey of deliverance (going from one place to a better place). The goal of the journey’s duration was 11 days in the wilderness. The Israelites were enslaved by the Egyptians and suffered a lot cruel and harsh treatment. God sent a servant named Moses to help deliver the Israelites from the hand of their oppressors. Moses was able to get the Israelites out of the hands of the Egyptians through the power of God and His instruction. 

“These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab. (There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadesh-barnea.)”

The scripture below shows how the Israelites took 40 years to enter their full deliverance and why. 

“For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.”

With this information, you can see that there were Israelites who did not receive full deliverance. They left one place physically that was poor quality but did not enter a place of better quality. A lot of it had to with their mindsets. I’ll explain more in this blog. 

With deliverance there should be a full transformation of change. These places of deliverance can be physical, yet the focus should be more on spiritual and mental. Deliverance looks like going from a state of:

🌻Poverty to Wealth 

🌻Mental Anguish to Mental Peace

🌻Homelessness to Secure Housing 

🌻Renting to Owning 

🌻Debt to Debt Free

🌻Demonic Possession or Demonic Oppression to Being Whole in Who God Created You To Be

🌻Gossiping to Keeping Private Information 

🌻Acting Out on Angry Impulses to Self Control and Sound Judgment 

🌻Ignorance to Knowledge

🌻Believing False or Detrimental Information to Acknowledging False or Detrimental Information and Dismissing That Information 

🌻Negligence of Parenting to Healthy and Active Parenting 

🌻 Believing Your Feelings as Ultimate Truth to Taking Time to Evaluate Every Perspective 

🌻Rejection and/or Abandonment Issues to Acceptance and Love of Self and Others 

🌻Living in Toxicty to Living in Peace 

🌻Overthinking to Taking Things A Moment at a Time

🌻Faithlessness to Belief 

🌻Stuck in cycles of Grief to Grieving Healthily and Acceptance of Loss

🌻Disobedience to Obedience 

🌻Barrenness to Birthing Children

🌻Fear to Courage 

🌻Poor Mental Health to A Sound Mindset

Deliverance is going from a low quality to better quality SUCCESSFULLY. Being delivered is more than just saying you’re fine, or saying, “I’ve been delivert” lol. It is more than only acknowledging the areas you recognize in your life that you need to be changed. It is more than having a couple good days (only to be back in the same cycles). It is the actual evidence of change and that change being the pattern of quality for your lifestyle. 

Some deliverances take years, some take days, while some deliverances takes place the same day or even in a moment. 

A lot of hindrances and blockages that happen in life have a lot to do with spiritual warfare and the need for deliverance. Not being able to gain or keep employment has a lot to do with outside demonic entities and witchcraft that has entered in your life. ALOT of demonic entities and witchcraft are entered into lives by agreements and trauma we knowingly or unknowingly give access to. In this life, satan does not play fair so he will use every weapon he has to disrupt, cause backwardness, steal, kill or destroy things pertaining to our lives. Satan wants to steal your joy, your possessions, your wealth, your mind and your time. He wants to destroy your God given purpose, your life, God’s plan for you, and your salvation. He wants to kill you spiritually and physically. He wants you bound by despair, hopelessness, poverty, lack of responsibility, doubt, fear, pain, addiction, decline, demon activity, unbelief and many negative aspects to this life. 

Deliverance requires:

🌻Faith in God and His Power 

🌻Consistency To Maintain Obedience to Godly Instruction

🌻The Acknowledgment of The Error of Your Ways 

🌻The Desire for Change

🌻Willingness for Action

🌻Showing Up For Yourself 

🌻Humility 

🌻Obedience 

Some areas to avoid to receive SUCCESSFUL deliverance are:

🌻Being Prideful (Don’t allow yourself to not receive good things) 

🌻Being Embarrassed or Worrying What Other People Think (Those that judge you, need deliverance too they just operate in a cowardly manner.) 

🌻Disobeying Sound Wisdom and Guidance (As you are aware, the Israelites prolonged their journey to extreme measures due to them allowing their feelings to dictate their obedience.)

🌻 Relying on Sources Outside the will of God to Be Your Source of Deliverance (Anything other than God and His Word is rooted in demonic influence or idolatry. You’ll end up in a worse place than where you were prior to deliverance.) 

Regarding the Israelites, they began to make false gods to worship and created a golden calf because they were impatient in their deliverance process. They wanted to speed up their process or they wanted something to pass time that they felt was beneficial for them. They leaned on their own understanding and denounced the will of God. In your journey of deliverance you have to stay the course and truly allow to be your source of refuge. 

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:”

This act caused the Israelites to hinder their progress to a better life. The people of Israel complained and murmured their entire journey, this caused Israel to hinder their progress. They allowed pride to overtake them. 

There are things that will hinder your growth or even cause you to fumble God’s promises for your life. To understand God’s promises over your life you can find them in the Word of God. When you see blessing being provided in the Word, that also pertains to you and your life.

🌻Witchcraft 

You can not serve two masters. You have to choose God and Him only to reap the genuine benefit of deliverance. Anything outside of the will of God to gain clarity or peace will leave you in torment and could also leave you in a space of Godlessness in a world created by Him. You don’t want to live in or exit this world without God. You’ll end up in an eternity without God which is far worse than any pain you’ve felt in this life.

There are some good Christian movies out there but I tend to find many to not represent the body of Christ well in the perspective of a genuine Christian. Most movies paint the church as greedy, deceitful and fake. While there’s truth in that due to undelivered souls being in classrooms and behind pulpits and microphones. Yet God has a people who will never bow the wiles of Satan nor give in to demonic influences no matter what. You are desired and motivated to be apart of these types of people. 

I would encourage you to utilize the reading of your bible, consistently pray to the best of your ability, join support groups and follow genuine Christians (genuine Christians are kind, they support you, they are honest and lead you to the Word of God and to God in prayer. They do not try and control you or make you feel less than. You may be spending a lot of time alone during your journey of genuine deliverance, but it is okay, God is always with you.)
